|Pro-life West Virginians support Morrisey for Senate and back President Trump’s nomination of Judge Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court
CLARKSBURG, WV — Today, the Morrisey for Senate campaign launched the Pro-Life Mountaineers for Patrick coalition, with more than 100 pro-life West Virginians already signed on to help elect Patrick Morrisey in November. West Virginia pro-life leader and state senator, Patricia Rucker, will serve as Pro-Life Mountaineers for Patrick coalition chair.
Pro-life West Virginians are encouraged to sign up HERE to get involved. The Pro-Life Mountaineers for Patrick coalition has begun weekly phone banks, regional coalition meetings, and will continue efforts to support President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the U.S. Supreme Court. The coalition launched today at an event with supporters in Clarksburg.
“The right to life is fundamental and must be cherished and protected, which is why I’m honored to have so many pro-life West Virginians supporting my campaign for U.S. Senate,” said Attorney General Patrick Morrisey. “This November, pro-life West Virginians will send a U.S. Senator to Washington who shares our commitment to standing on the side of life and supporting President Trump’s pro-life judges.”
Morrisey continued: “The liberal elites in Washington, Hollywood, and the media look down on our pro-life values and will do whatever it takes to continue their push for abortion on-demand. Liberal Senator Joe Manchin has failed West Virginians by continuing to fund abortion provider Planned Parenthood, voicing opposition to pro-life judges, and standing with Hillary Clinton and her pro-abortion agenda.”
“The men and women of West Virginia know that Patrick Morrisey is the only candidate for U.S. Senate who truly stands on the side of human life,” said state senator Patricia Rucker, Pro-Life Mountaineers for Patrick coalition chair. “I’m excited to be working with so many pro-life West Virginians to elect Patrick Morrisey to the U.S. Senate, and send pro-abortion Sen. Joe Manchin into retirement.”
Recently, Morrisey was endorsed by West Virginians for Life and received praise for his “outstanding record of commitment to the pro-life cause.” Last week, National Right to Life Committee endorsed Patrick Morrisey for U.S. Senate saying his “position on life reflects the true values of West Virginia’s voters.”
Morrisey has worked tirelessly to promote pro-life causes, such as speaking outaggressively against West Virginia state laws that allowed abortions to be performed until birth, leading to the creation of the Pain-Capable law in West Virginia. Morrisey also led a 22-state coalition in urging the Supreme Court to protect the free speech rights of pro-life centers, and has consistently filed briefs to protect life for many years.
