NRA Endorses Morrisey for U.S. Senate

CHARLESTON, WV — Today, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) endorsed Attorney General Patrick Morrisey for U.S. Senate. The NRA praised Morrisey’s defense of the Second Amendment and West Virginia gun owners, while criticizing Joe Manchin for working with Washington liberals like Pelosi and Schumer.

Morrisey has earned an “A+” rating from the NRA, while Manchin has received a “D.”

“As attorney general of West Virginia, Patrick Morrisey has strongly supported the Second Amendment, and we can trust him to defend our constitutional rights in the U.S. Senate,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Unlike Joe Manchin, Morrisey will stand strong against the Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer anti-gun agenda.”

Cox continued: “Gun owners in West Virginia deserve a trustworthy, consistent advocate for their Second Amendment freedoms. Joe Manchin has lost their trust. Patrick Morrisey has earned it. The NRA encourages all freedom-loving West Virginians to vote for Morrisey in November.”

“West Virginians hold dear our right to protect ourselves and our families, so I’m proud to have fought to protect Second Amendment rights and I’m honored to have earned the NRA’s endorsement,” said Attorney General Patrick Morrisey. “Lying liberal Joe Manchin has disrespected West Virginia gun owners by standing with anti-gun liberals like Obama and Schumer in efforts to undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.”

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey expanded gun reciprocity rights for West Virginians, championed constitutional carry in West Virginia, and fought back against Obama’s gun grab efforts. Liberal Joe Manchin has sided with Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, and Hillary Clinton in opposing West Virginia gun owners, and even led the charge for Obama’s aggressive anti-gun legislation.
