AG Patrick Morrisey touts record in run for West Virginia governor

Attorney General Patrick Morrisey is finishing up his third term in that office as he seeks the Republican nomination for governor.

He says his success in suing the federal government over restrictions on fossil-fuel-generated power is among his biggest accomplishments. He also points to settlements with drug makers and distributors that brought $1 billion to West Virginia to fight the opioid epidemic.
