West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey officially threw his hat into the ring for governor Tuesday, and chose Keyser as one of the stops in his kick-off tour.
Morrisey initially announced his intention to seek the 2024 GOP nomination for governor at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Harpers Ferry and by 3:30 p.m. was at North Branch Pub in Keyser for his first appearance.
Saying Mineral County has always been a special place for him, Morrisey said, “As attorney general, we’ve walked and spent massive amounts of time right here in one of the most beautiful counties in West Virginia. We visited this county quite a few times.
